Helen was born in Maesycwmmer in South Wales in February of 1958. She was the one of 9 children. Her father passed away when she was 13 months old leaving her mother with 9 children the youngest being just a few months old. Helen gave her life to Jesus as a young child and continued to live for the saviour she loved. She met Elwyn when she was 17 and they were married in 1979. They had two daughters. They lived in Cwmbran after getting married and then for a period lived in Maesycwmmer. From there they moved to Brynmawr while Elwyn worked on Severn Bridge as an engineer.

The desire of both was to serve the Lord Jesus in full time ministry. The opportunity arose for them to relocate as a family to Evenwood in County Durham where Elwyn and Helen pastored the AOG assembly there. Helen was at her best when she was helping and working for the Kingdom of God. In 1999 Elwyn and Helen and the girls relocated back to Cwmbran to take over the leadership of what was Hebron Pentecostal Church. After a short time it was evident that a new day needed to begin in the life of the fellowship and so they set about establishing C3 (Cwmbran Christian Centre). During this time Helen served AOG as womens ministry administrator and then as director. Helen travelled extensively around the world ministering  from USA to India, Ukraine to Australia.

​During her battle with cancer, which was 12 years, Helen never failed to witness to, and believe in, the Power of God. She was known by many of the nursing staff as 'The Miracle Woman'. She was quick to tell everyone that she had survived the years that she had, beyond all expectation, owing to the Power of Prayer and the Power of God. Right up until the end, her faith and her trust were rock solid. She said during the last weeks that she was not frightened to die as she knew that Jesus would be waiting for her. Her regret was leaving the love of her life Elwyn, her girls and grandchildren who she loved passionatly and faithfully. Helen was a special woman of God who was selfless, a real daughter of the living God and a true servant to the people that were in her life. Always had a smile, always kind and uplifting to all she met. The 300 plus people who came to her funeral were testament to the impact she had made during her 54 years of life on this earth. She will be missed by her family, the C3 fellowship and mostly by her husband Elwyn. She rests from her labour and has heard the words from the Saviour she faithfully loved; WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFULL
